Interoperable communications are a necessity for the State of Oregon in the coming decade. Our current system does not provide complete integration with all emergency response entities and often fails when faced with major emergencies. The interoperable network is a major undertaking and the State of Oregon must remain involved in every step to assure that all parties remain accountable for their duties to complete the project on time and under budget.
